WONDERFUL WHIRLPOOL TURBINE

Belgian company Turbulent’s whirlpool turbine can be installed in most rivers and canals, using the flowing water to produce energy, possibly enough to power up to 60 homes, providing energy 24 hours a day. Multiple turbines can be set up along the same canal or river, essentially combining their power to supply more energy. Such hydro-power plants might provide as much as 10 megawatts (MW) in power output, delivering enough energy to power a small city of 300 people. Although unique, Turbulent’s design is just one of a number of micro-hydropower designs. Check out the link for references to others.
