EVALUATING ELECTRIC VEHICLES

Many fully electric vehicles carry “zero emissions” badges, but this isn’t quite true. Battery-electric cars don’t emit greenhouse gases from their tailpipes, but some emissions are created in the building of and charging of the vehicles. Still, they’re clearly a lower-emissions option than cars with internal combustion engines. Over the course of their driving lifetimes, EVs create fewer carbon emissions than gasoline-burning cars under nearly any conditions.
