Electric vehicles (EVs) need cost-effective, safer, longer-lasting batteries that won’t explode during use or harm the environment. Rubber is a promising alternative to conventional lithium-ion batteries. Synthetic rubbers formulated into a 3D structure have proven to act as a superhighway for fast lithium-ion transport with superior mechanical toughness, resulting in longer charging batteries able to go farther. They should be cheaper, more reliable and safer than other batteries. The science is beyond my understanding but check it out.
