CURRENT BOMB CYCLONE

Photo taken from my balcony shows the lake in front of me this morning during a whiteout. The snow is blowing sideways.
Climate scientists suspect there might be a connection between bomb cyclones and climate change, possibly partly related to the jet stream having more meanders (large loops) that can drive these sorts of storms. And because the oceans are hotter, more moisture is available for storms. Studies have shown there’s been a global increase in the observed intensity of the strongest storms. How or whether that’s connected with bomb cyclones no one is sure yet, but I’m betting that the current storm will increase interest.
