WILDFIRES AND COVID-19

Northern California may face COVID-19 while dealing with dangerous wildfires. There have been more so far in 2020 than by this point in 2019. Abnormally dry or moderate drought conditions are widespread and may be connected to climate change. At least 13 San Jose firefighters have already tested positive for COVID-19. How will the State cope with sick firefighters, the need for them to stay six feet apart, and shelters crammed with those escaping fires?
