We’re rapidly approaching multiple Earth system tipping points, transforming our world with devastating consequences. Coral reefs may have already crossed a tipping point portending dieback with all dead by mid-century. If we don’t get back to 1.5 degrees by the end of this century, there may be a one in four chance of crossing at least one major global threshold–the collapse of AMOC, the Amazon rainforest ecosystem, or the Greenland or West Antarctic ice sheet.
