Sony’s Reon Pocket 2 is a wearable cooling or warming device worn inside clothing using electrical conductors that transfer heat when electricity is run through them. It measures 54 mm x 20 mm by 116 mm and can be used for light activities like golf and walking. Plug it into your computer or a USB-C mobile battery of at least 3,350m. The Pocket 2 has a WARM and COLD mode allowing for year-round usage. Smartphone connectivity has settings 1-4 that can be selected via Bluetooth — COOL mode on level one lasts up to 20 hours while level four lasts three hours on a full charge. The WARM mode also has a battery life of 20 hours on level one but sees an increase to 10 hours on level four. A stainless steel contact pad directly draws heat from your skin, and is also sweat resistant. A neckband accessory attachment can be purchased separately.
It could mean survival for those subjected to unbearably hot or cold weather in the new abnormal. I plan to buy one, and I’m not paid to recommend it. I don’t think you can buy it on Amazon yet but possibly on ebay.
