STRONGER STORMS

Almost everywhere that hurricanes form, their maximum sustained winds are getting stronger. Hurricanes are moving more slowly across land due to changes in Earth’s climate. This has resulted in greater flood risks as storms hover over cities and other areas, often for extended periods of time. It’s hard to imagine how we’ll cope if a hurricane hits the U.S. during the pandemic, and a stronger than usual season is expected. Probably a good idea to stock up on necessities.
