SIBERIAN RECORD HEAT

Remote tundra lands along the Arctic Ocean are now among the world’s regions with the quickest warming. There’s been a deviation from normal temperatures of more than five degrees Celsius over major parts of Siberia. In places the average temperature on May 23rd was as much as 16 degrees Celsius (28.6 Fahrenheit) higher than normal. Record early ice break-up and unprecedented early wildfires occurred.
