RECHARGING ELECTRIC CARS FASTER

Chemical engineers have learned more about the nature of lithium-ion batteries that could lead to batteries that recharge much faster than before. For example it takes about 40 minutes to charge a Tesla to 80% capacity using the most powerful charging station. New technologies could create a car battery fully chargeable five times faster than normal, or in just over 10 minutes, without the risk of a hazard or degrading too quickly which has been the problem with lithium-ion batteries.
