MARVELOUS MUD BUILDINGS

The construction industry accounts for 38% of global CO2 emissions. Building with concrete accounts for around 7%. Constructing with mud has a very low environmental impact with the material fully recyclable. Mud buildings are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Their walls have a high thermal mass that slowly absorbs heat and stores it, preventing the house from becoming too hot, then releasing it at night. Thick mud-brick walls reduce noise levels from outside. Mud structures are incredibly sturdy i and resilient to extreme weather, such as heatwaves, floods and droughts.
