HUNG OUT TO DRY

The average household could save about $200 a year using a clothesline (or drying rack) instead of an electric dryer while reducing its carbon footprint by a whopping 2,400 pounds. If all Americans line-dried for just six months, it would save 3.3% of our total residential CO2 output. I love that I can turn my humidifier off when using my rickety old drying rack.

  1. So great, we can do this! I have very clear memories of helping my grandmother put her laundry out on the line…and of how crisp the clothes were after they dried. I love this idea
