FORTHCOMING HURRICANE SEASON

Looks like we’re in for it again. Federal scientists forecast that 2021 could see in the range of 13 to 20 named storms, six to 10 hurricanes, and three to five major hurricanes of Category 3 or higher in the Atlantic. Last year there was a record-shattering 30 named storms. And getting off to a bad start, on May 9th Andres became the earliest tropical storm on record to form in the Pacific with subtropical storm Ana in the Atlantic now marking the seventh consecutive year with a named storm forming before June 1.
