EDIBLE ALGAE

Ingestion of two of the most commercially available algal species rich in protein supports muscle remodeling in young healthy adults. It’s a sustainable alternative to animal-derived protein. Cultivated under controlled conditions, spirulina and chlorella are the two most commercially available algae that contain high doses of protein rich micronutrients. This study wasn’t focused on the climate change implications, but it seems clear that eating less meat would be helpful.
