Conn Center researchers at the University of Louisville have created the CuBert™ paste which replaces expensive silver with affordable and abundant copper while maintaining the durability of the silver pastes. It’s a plug and play ingredient that replaces the paste directly into the existing manufacturing process and equipment used today by solar panel makers. Manufacturers are expected to be able to reduce their production costs significantly, reducing the cost to consumers.
