Check the new Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report. In fact we’re probably in more trouble than indicated because what has been learned since the scientists convened is even more dire than their new assessment. Moreover the IPCC requires consensus so where there’s not enough factual information about an aspect of climate change, it may be left out and yet ultimately prove to be critical to our understanding. As a climate change activist for over 30 years I can say that one consistent comment from scientists has been “It’s happening so much faster than we thought.”
