Enbridge is bringing a civil suit against FRRACS and the Town of Weymouth, possibly fearing that they’ll prevail on one or more of their court appeals and that an injunction to stop construction will be filed then. Also known as a SLAPP Suit (strategic lawsuit against public participation), maybe Enbridge wants to cost them money while attempting to prevent them from doing something they haven’t done. Seems to me we need an anti-slapp suit. See below.
