SERIOUS SALT THREAT

As sea levels climb and weather grows more extreme, coastal regions everywhere face a creeping threat: salt. Salinization of freshwater and soils adversely affects 500 million people worldwide, especially in low-lying river deltas. This can devastate crops, erode food security, force communities to move, threaten public health, livelihoods, and regional stability.
