The US plans to hold a world climate summit early in 2021 and seeks to rejoin the Paris accord on the new Administration’s first day. Biden has pledged to put the nation on a path to net zero carbon emissions by 2050. As things stand, world leaders aren’t doing enough to address the human-caused climate crisis. We can hope that the new President will help make a difference.
