COVID-19 has led to working at home online. Since transportation is now the single largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, this change should help. Conferences are being cancelled worldwide and scheduled online, meaning fewer flights too. If the aviation sector were a nation it would be one of the top 10 carbon emitters. We can hope that once the pandemic ends companies will continue to increase telecommuting and teleconferencing. Below is a link to my son’s business, an example of how this works.
