Earth could be delivering more, and removing less, methane into the air than previously estimated, the impact possibly four times greater than that estimated in the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report. The latest figures from the United States’ National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) show the amount of methane in the atmosphere reached historic highs in 2020 and 2021 and is currently increasing at its fastest recorded rate. I guess the majority of the Supreme Court judges either aren’t paying attention, are global warming deniers, or don’t realize how serious the climate crisis is.
