CLIMATE CHANGE LABELS

The terms “climate change” and “global warming” are not only more familiar to people than some of their most common synonyms, but also generate more concern about warming of the Earth. Close to 90% of a study’s respondents were familiar with “climate change” and “global warming.” That dropped off sharply for the other terms, with only 33% recognizing “climate justice.”  “Climate change” and “global warming” were rated as most familiar, most concerning, and most urgent, and “climate justice” the least, with “climate crisis” and “climate emergency” falling in between. Nonetheless, I won’t change the title of my blog. We are certainly dealing with a crisis.
