2020 has tied 2016 as the hottest year on record. The global average temperature in 2020 was about 2.25 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than the average from 1850 to 1900.
I live on a 99 acre lake in Eastern Massachusetts. It was carved out by glaciers eons ago. In the 1800s enormous chunks were cut from the thick ice and shipped out of the country. Yet today I took a photo showing no snow and not a bit of ice. The figures above are sobering, but climate change hits harder when you can see it with your own eyes.

Just up the hill from this body of water, the ground in my garden has yet to freeze this winter. Very unusual.
