SUPER SUBWAY HEAT SOLUTION

A pilot program will see if thermal energy networks could help cool New York city subway stations. The pilot technology will be used where a cooling loop runs beneath the station surfaces, absorbing heat from the surrounding environment and transferring it into water in underground water-filled pipes. The stored heat could warm nearby municipal buildings during colder months.
