Perovskite solar cells, a high-energy, low-cost alternative to silicon solar cells, can work indoors, charged by using fluorescent lights and LEDs. The cells large power conversion efficiency rate (amount of energy created from the amount of energy hitting the cell) makes them well suited to converting lower light sources into usable amounts of electricity. Charging electronics and devices this way could be possible.
